Facts Every Realtor Should Know

I just recently came across an interesting article called “More Internet Savvy Real Estate Buyers Equals More Money and Less Work for You.” Some of the most poignant points raised about real estate buyer were:Real Estate Internet Marketing - Graph

        • Internet buyers spend almost a third the amount of time working with a real estate agent compared to a traditional buyer. This means less time carting buyers around in your car!
        • Internet buyers interviewed about half as many real estate agents as traditional buyers before selecting a Realtor
        • Nearly three quarters of all Internet buyers first saw the home they purchased on the Internet

We know a lot of research is going on by the consumers before contacting a Realtor. Think about how you are helping those online find you and your listings. Do you have a compelling value statement that differentiates you? Do you spend time creatively describing your listings?

Get out front and be visible online. Know what your consumers are looking for and deliver. As this report and others show, to do so will only save you time and money…And couldn't use more of both?

We actually went through a web based listing site for selling our condos in Costa Rica. It was the easiest and cheapest way for us to hit the international market. www.buysafecostarica.com even gave us step by step instructions for downloading our pictures and descriptions. After only having them listed for 2 months all three of our properties were sold. I guess this just confirms your findings.

This will only continue to be the case with new generations becoming increasingly dependent on the internet for information. Those who address this issue well, will no doubt succeed in the future.

I've been working selling real estate from my site www.SearchForCharlestonRealEstate.com since I started selling real estate with Carolina One in 2003. I have more than 90% of my business come from the site and really see the importance of the web, but like everyone, I want to know what is next. You have a very good blog set up here and i look forward to reading more.

Of course searching for house or an apartment is easier through internet. And everyone wants to sit at home with a cup of coffee or tea infront of the computer and search for the things they need. So we realtors have no choice except listing the apartments online in our own website. And also I think it is the best because we don't have to go show each and every house instead they will call you regarding the house they have liked and you just give them an appointment to show the house. This way is easier to both us and the buyers as well. IT makes the things lot easier and works out well. I have been doing this now from many years and it is working out well for me of course the market is bad today and I am waiting for a call!!
